+ - Why we only choose organic and sustainable yarns
Natural fibers respect the environment and guarantee a combination of well-being, economy and ethics. Natural fabrics are produced using yarns made of fibers already existing in nature, obtained through mechanical not chemical processes, that would change their structure. We buy our fabrics from Italian manufacturers who certify their entire supply chain.
+ - Why we choose wool and mohair
Wool and mohair have both always been used for its softness and for its ability to thermally insulate, both against cold and heat. Wool and mohair are made of keratin, a substance similar to the one inside our hair, and has a very high insulating property, also thanks to the air cushions formed between the undulations of its fibers.
Hygroscopicity is another important feature of both, which are able to absorb and retain water molecules up to 30% of its weight, without giving the sensation of wet.
An extremely flexible and resistant material even if subjected to strong elongation and twisting, totally recovering its original shape, thus making our shirt practically crease-resistant. Wool is also an antistatic fiber, which means it does not become charged with static electricity, and therefore does not attract dust into the wardrobe.
We use ZQue ™ certified yarns. This certificate guarantees total traceability of the fiber, giving the maximum transparency throughout the production process. The whole production process is certified step by step, from the precise indication of pastures and breeding, to the selection of the fiber, up to the spinning.
The wool we use for our garments does not come from farms where animals suffer abuse.

This garment is handcrafted in a small Turin artisan laboratory.
The finishing, made entirely by hand, is provided by ancient knitting machines, the same machines used by our grandmothers. Cristina's skilled hands and impeccable taste make these garments unique and precious.

The dignity of each worker, taking part in our garments production process, is extremely important for us. We personally check that our collaborators comply with all the protection requirements guaranteed by the European Union.
+ - Washing instructions
Wool or mohair sweaters must be washed only when strictly necessary to ensure that they do not get damaged, in fact if exposed to the air for a night after use, they regenerate themselves by losing the impregnating smells and regain tone and softness.
Choose the right detergent, favoring the ones formulated with non-polluting biodegradable substances and for preventing the sweaters from felting, follow the doses indicated on the package without ever exceeding the quantities.
We do not recommend the use of fabric softener, it often causes felting.
Fill a basin with warm water, add a small amount of detergent and then immerse the garments to be washed. Leave to soak for 5 minutes, shake a little to remove the dirt and then proceed with rinsing. Wring out the clothes very gently, then, to quickly absorb the water, put them in a towel. Hang the garments out of the heat sources and the sunlight which could make them yellowing, especially the ones in light tones.
To iron wool garments, make sure to place a cotton towel on the garment in order to avoid direct contact with heat and prevent the iron from making the sweater fibers get shiny irreparably. Set the wool program on iron and always use steam.
How to recover a felted wool
Fill a basin with warm water and add a little baking soda, immerse the garment and then rinse in another basin with warm water mixed with half a cup of glycerin. If the garment is particularly damaged, leave it to soak for a whole day in a solution of water and ammonia: a teaspoon for every liter of water.
